Further to our normal operations, we launched an Italian Wine Club in April 2009. This stems from the fact that Italian wine is somewhat difficult to negotiate. After all, there aren't many people in the world conversant with Italy's 2,000(ish) indigenous wine varieties! As a part of this, we are offering a mixed six bottle selection (three different reds and three different whites).
Alternatively, we are also offering a red, or a white, only selection on a similar basis. The cost of these six bottles is likely to fluctuate between £75 and £100 and we will offer this once every two months. I can only guarantee that you'll know more about Italian wine at the end of the year than at the start! As an example, the April selection is noted below:
Whites
La Giustiniana Gavi di Gavi Vigneti Montessora 2007
Pieropan Soave Classico 2007
Tormaresca PietraBianca 2006
Reds
Allegrini La Grola 2005
Felsina Berardenga Chianti Classico 2006
Prunotto Dolcetto d'Alba 2007
In addition, tasting notes and some general information will always be included. For the current selection, please consult the 'Mixed Cases' section of the website. That's about it really but, as ever, if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask!
