"There is a big change in the winemaking here starting with 2017, when Pedro Parra got his own winery and started taking a different approach to the wines. He now customizes the wines more based on the characteristics of the year, such as using between 10% and 40% full clusters in the fermentation. The 2017 Imaginador is 100% Cinsault from four old vineyards he controls in Guarilihue in Itata. The wines are never racked, and they mature in a combination of concrete vats and oak foudres. It's sharp, fresh and mineral, with an elegant nose and a palate where the acidity makes you salivate. There is a faint smoky touch on the finish, reflecting what happened that year. The nose takes some time to open up, and in this vintage, I prefer the nose. 12,924 bottles were filled in February 2018. Drink: 2018-2023. 93 points

Pedro Parra's wines have been through some changes that started with 2016 and were completed with 2018. He sources Cinsault from Guariliuhe and País from Portezuelo, both in Itata. For now, he bottles pure Cinsault and Cinsault-País blends, and in the future, he might bottle pure País. He produced a grand total of 30,000 bottles in 2017, and he expects to bottle some 36,000 from 2018 onward, with a maximum of 45,000 bottles per year in the future."
