“The 2023 L’Aurage comes from deep clayey soils. It has a notably understated bouquet with pure blackberry and raspberry aromas, just a touch of cedar emanating from the Cabernet Franc. The palate is slightly grainy in texture, with fine acidity and just a touch of dryness on the finish, but that will flesh out a little during élevage. White pepper and bay leaf emerge on the aftertaste. Fine. Give it 18-24 months once in bottle. Drinking window: 2026-2038. 88-90 points”
