Thillardon Chenas Chassignol 2022

“The 2022 Chénas Chassignol comes from 110-year-old vines. Macerated for 26 days, it aged 50% in used barrel/demi-muids and 50% in epoxy-lined vats. This is rather reticent on the nose at the moment, demanding coaxing from the glass to reveal touches of potpourri and gravel. The palate is very well balanced with a piquant entry. It’s lively, tensile and quite linear in style, with a cohesive finish marked by touches of sour cherry and orange rind. This will age well in bottle. Drinking window: 2024-2035. 92 points”
