“The 2022 Chardonnay, grown in East and West Sussex, is fermented in stainless steel and oak. The nose presents a distinct yet pleasant yeasty funk that transitions into baked Bramley apple and bright freshness. The palate is light, beautifully taut and fresh, framed by tart yet ripe apple juiciness. There is something driven and bright about this wine, something energetic and alive. A textural core evokes more yeast and cooling, concentrated smoothness. Not in the conventional vein of Chardonnay but certainly compelling and long. Drinking window: 2024-2030. 92 points”
