"And again: we have a much smaller quantity of the Treinspoor this year. As mentioned before, this is (to our mind) the red grape that might well transport the Swartland Terroir best into liquid form, purely because it captures the soils and the earthiness of the place. We have come a long way since our first bottlings of Tinta Barocca and the current version is the most refined ever, but it has not lost the tannin and the structural feeling of the grape. The 2015 weighs in at a mere 12.8% alcohol, but is phenolically completely ripe and has an amazing mouth feel."
