"Pale, green-hued straw. Suave, mineral-accented citrus and pit fruit aromas are complemented by suggestions of violet and ginger. Silky and focused on the palate, offering energetic Meyer lemon and Anjou pear flavors that deepen steadily on the back half. Finishes impressively long, smooth and precise, showing a building mineral quality and a touch of spiciness. Drinking window: 2021-2026. 94 points

Yves Cuilleron raises all of his white wines in a roughly 50/50 mix of oak foudres and demi-muids of varying age and he bottles all of them under Diam corks, which he says, "have been working well, no complaints at all." He's taking a wait-and-see approach on his red wines as far as moving away from traditional corks, mostly "because some of the importers still aren't convinced about how the wines might age under Diam." His 2017s offer plenty of upfront appeal, which is unsurprising for a hot vintage, while the 2018s, from another year marked by heat, show a bit more energy and sharp definition, although I suspect that most of them will be drinking at their best on the young side."
